MY DAY-TO-DAY
Dynamism, Details, And New Challenges
At Meetings & Events, every day is a different journey. In my daily work, I manage and present interesting proposals to our clients in the main Spanish destinations. I often visit and negotiate with suppliers, plan and conduct site inspections, and, of course, operate on-site. Being on-site is my favourite part because it's where the magic happens, and all our hard work comes to life.
I am a big fan of detail and enjoy proposing local elements to our clients so that they can get to know the destination as well as we do. This makes our daily work very challenging and fun!
WHY TRAVEL?
MICE Is NICE
It was always clear to me that I wanted to study for a Tourism Degree. My interest in learning different languages, travelling, gastronomy, and discovering other cultures led me to embark on this exciting journey. When I finished my studies in Tourism, I immediately specialised in events management.
In this sector, you learn something new every day and meet people from whom you learn even more. I think all event planners identify with the fact that we love to make people feel at home. This is what I like the most.
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) is a dynamic sector with great relevance for destinations. It is a vocational and unpredictable industry, where we must constantly be up-to-date and never stop learning.
Events require hours and hours of preparation, and as the big day approaches, moments of stress arise. We must always be ready for unforeseen events. The key is to anticipate and plan well. Providing solutions, being practical, and using common sense will lead to a successful event.
WHY KUONI TUMLARE?
International Family and Teamwork
From the very first moment, I felt like I was with a second family. Teamwork is integral to our daily work, and we have a team that is very hard-working and resilient—key aspects for us as event organisers.
I also appreciate working in an international environment. This constantly teaches me about other cultures, ways of working, and perspectives, which is always a very enriching experience.
CORE VALUE
Respect Always Comes First
I am pleased that Kuoni Tumlare prioritises Respect as one of its core values.
Respect is a value I emphasise in both my professional and personal life. In MICE, where we work for and with people, cultivating good relationships with clients and suppliers is crucial for successful events. This requires a foundation of respect to foster an environment of tolerance and effective communication, creating a positive atmosphere. This, in turn, enhances our ability to work more effectively and achieve better results.
PROUDEST MOMENT
MPI Young Event Professional Nomination
Being nominated twice as MPI Young Event Professional in the Iberian Chapter has been a significant honour for me. Participating in these events in 2023 and 2024 was truly incredible. They serve as a focal point for Spain's MICE industry, providing invaluable opportunities to connect with esteemed professionals and exchange knowledge and experiences. Recognising our profession and supporting emerging generations of event planners is crucial; they bring fresh perspectives and innovation. I strongly believe that talent and passion are essential in our field.
FAVOURITE DESTINATION
One Filled With Good Memories, And Another That Has Seen Me Grow Up
I am a passionate traveller, but if you're looking for me and I'm not in beautiful Barcelona, you'll probably find me somewhere in the Netherlands or in a small village called Ribes de Freser in the province of Girona, nestled in the Catalan Pyrenees.
