1. The Pyramids of Giza
The Pyramids of Giza are one of the most prominent historical landmarks in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located just outside of Cairo. Among them, the largest and most famous pyramid is the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the tomb of Fourth Dynasty pharaoh Khufu. The pyramid is the only surviving and oldest Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The three pyramids of Giza were built roughly from 2550 to 2490 B.C. 2. The Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is in Giza. The giant monolithic limestone statue is the oldest monumental sculpture known worldwide. Adventurous visitors can also try out the sandboarding escapades in the Great Sand Sea. Visiting Siwa in the cooler months from October to April is advisable for comfort.
