5 Reasons to Visit Japan

Who hasn’t, at least once, dreamt of visiting faraway countries where culture and history are different, where traditions are new and exotic, and landscapes and cities are wonderful unknown entities, ready to be discovered?

Japan meets all the above and more and at Kuoni Tumlare, as part of the JTB Group, this is one of our favourite destinations.

Whether you choose to start with the classic temples of Kyoto or with the entertainment hubs of Tokyo, go explore a little further and make your own fresh and exciting discoveries.

Across Japan, you will find cultural heritage highly rated by international standards. See industry-leading architecture and design, and enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons, from magnificent gardens to department stores and cuisine. Leave the towns and cities behind, and discover hot spring hamlets in the mountains, white sandy beaches, and an array of adventure activities. In our opinion, Japan offers options for all tastes and interests.

Thanks to its amazing people and business-oriented thinking, this country is one of the best corporate destinations our clients could think of!

Below are 5 reasons to choose this amazing country as a destination for your next corporate trip.

1. The Unique Japanese Culture

Culture in Japan is very prominent, making people very traditional and respectful of rules and others around them. Japanese culture permeates the entire country. From within the grounds of ancient shrines and temples, all the way to the trendy streets of Harajuku and Omotesando.... and to a friendly izakaya.

2. Flourishing Nature

Depending on which season you choose to visit, the natural backdrop will change. From the delicate pinks of cherry blossom season in spring to the fresh greens of summer, followed by the golden hues of autumn and the mountains covered in powdery snow in winter. Each season in Japan offers a unique natural experience and several activities, from cultural to sporty.

3. Art & Design

Japan offers a variety of art, design, and architecture scenes. Japanese cities offer visitors a complete view of their artistic, design and architectural history. From the ancient to the avant-garde, from temples to modern buildings, which grow in height as time passes due to limited land space.

4. Technology

Since at least the 1960s, Japan has been synonymous with technology. In the ensuing decades, the country’s international reputation for electronics, the automotive industry and robotics has grown exponentially. Japan has some of the biggest electronics conglomerates in the world and some of the most cutting-edge innovations.

5. Public Transport in Japan

Public Transport in Japan is commonly used both within cities and for travel throughout the country. With major cities having underground trains running regularly, it is possible to travel between neighbours quickly and easily.

And, of course, there are the Shinkansen bullet trains! Very efficient and fast, they offer riders a unique travel experience. They are operated by Japan Railways and cover the entire country, travelling at speeds of up to 320 km/h. It is possible to discover Japan via nine Shinkansen lines that connect the most prominent cities, like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Kyoto. Trains on the Shinkansen network are safe, comfortable, and always arrive on time.
