Kick-off Event in Barcelona
Barcelona was the chosen destination, a city famed for Gaudi’s magical modernist architecture, endless plates of tapas, and home to one of the world’s most famous football teams.
To celebrate the hard work of our colleagues and their achievements, we welcomed attendees from 15 of our offices in 13 different countries.
We partnered with JTB University to create a tailor-made training programme focusing on creativity and innovation. A successful session left all participants feeling inspired and ready to conquer the year ahead.
The kick-off concluded with an Oscar-themed Gala hosted by our Vice President, Head of MICE and Business Development and a guest MC. Entertainment included a traditional flamenco show, charismatic Latin dancers, and splendid mouth-watering Spanish cuisine - all taking place in one of the city's most talked-about venues.
Japanese Wagyu Promotion in 6 European Countries
To raise awareness of Japanese culture and cuisine, JTB is assisting with the promotion of Japanese products in Europe.
Wagyu is a famous high-quality Japanese beef. We are working with restaurants to make Wagyu more widely known to Europeans.
Good food is an essential part of travel arrangements, so we are also learning more and more about food.Over 150 restaurants and shops from 6 European countries participated the campaign, with more than 15,000 people sampling genuine Wagyu beef during this campaign.
We received lots of positive feedback from participants: “We never tasted such tender beef. We learned how these Wagyu grew up in Japan and it was amazing! Someday we would like to visit Japan”.
A chef from a well-known restaurant also shared his feedback with us: “Thank you very much for giving us the chance to use real Wagyu beef. We enjoyed learning more about Wagyu and would like to continue offering Wagyu beef as part of our menu!”
German-Japanese Innovation Initiatives 160 Kick-off Seminar
To mark the 160th anniversary of signing the Treaty of Amity and Commerce between Germany and Japan, the client decided to hold a bilateral seminar that promotes interactive innovation to solve recent global issues.
These included declining birthrates and ageing populations, COVID-19, global warming, digitalisation, SDGs etc.VIPs such as Ambassadors, high-rank officials from the Ministry of Economy, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, and corporate executives from Japan and Germany participated.
It was a hybrid event, with people attending not only in person but also virtually from all over the world.
The event was a platform to present the latest corporate examples that will serve as models for the Japan-Germany innovation exchange.
